Along with a great selection of programs the community centre is also home to a full-size gym, performing arts studio, youth and seniors’ room, pottery studio, art studio, multipurpose rooms and a training room.
In keeping with the Park Board's ongoing commitment to sustainability, this gleaming 34,000-square-foot facility is built to high environmental standards, targeting LEED Gold certification and includes many features designed to conserve energy and water. The building was designed by Walter Francl Architecture Inc. and built by Bird Construction.
The public is encouraged to bike, walk or take transit to the opening celebration. Limited parking is available.
