Stanley ParkGetting There, Getting AroundBike, Foot or 'Blade'There are now a series of cycle/rollerblader/pedestrian routes which link the peninsula of Stanley Park to downtown Vancouver and beyond. The Seaside Bike Route affords easy access to the park's western section with connectors to the east side. A Coal Harbour Route affords easy connection from major transportation links like the SeaBus. Once in Stanley Park the spectacular seawall makes a wonderful, flat touring route for all ages. DrivingThe main entrance to the park is at the west end of Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver. Use the form on the right to get directions to the park from wherever you live. Horse-Drawn Carriage RidesSee the park in style and at a pace where no detail will escape you during a peaceful horse-drawn carriage ride. Open year-round and located near the park's main entrance just past the Information Booth. Park MapsJust inside the Georgia Street entrance to Stanley Park you will find the granite-fronted Information Booth. Pick up a free map here along with film and small snacks ParkingPaying for parking helps to ensure that Stanley Park is maintained to the highest standard possible. Winter rates are in effect from October 1-March 31 and summer from April 1-September 30. Parking rates are listed on our Fees & Charges page. Shuttle BusThe 2009 Stanley Park Shuttle Bus service operated round Stanley Park from July 1 - September 7, 2009. Check back here for updates regarding a 2010 Shuttle service. Getting Around the ParkThere is no public transit service around the Park. You can walk, rent bikes, use one of the Hop On, Hop Off bus services (see list below) that come into the Park as part of their City tours, or do a tour round part of the park on the horse & carriage. |
