Rink Rentals



NOTE: The only rinks available for Spring Ice (beginning in April) are Sunset and Kitsilano.
Riley Park will have ice until April 7 inclusive (read below for bookings which require “skate” rentals).
Re: floor hockey bookings: Riley Park begins April 19, Trout Lake begins April 6 and Killarney TBA.

Ice Rentals

Regular weekly Fall ice times will be available at a number of rinks after 11:30 pm as well as some daytime ice times (9:00am – 3:00 pm) Monday – Friday. If you want to book a skating party requiring skate rentals, please call the individual rink programmers for a permit. Hockey rentals can be booked online (see below).

Rink Reservation Information
  • You may "View Rinks" and request a hockey reservation online. When planning your request, allow 15 minutes before and after each booking for ice cleaning. For bookings which require skate rentals (ie schools and skating parties), please do not book online but contact the rink programmer.
  • Reservation requests will be looked at by staff and approved or denied based on our ability to offer the facility. The schedule will tell you what has already been booked.

  • Adult $99 Ice is available for the following dates (one time bookings only):
  • Pre-season Aug 17 - Sep 13/09 Bookings start Jul 2/09
    Winter Holiday Dec 19/09 - Jan 3/10 Bookings start Sep 8/09
    Spring Break Mar 8 - 31/10 Bookings start Jan 2/10

  • More than one reservation request date requires Liability insurance. You will need to provide us with a copy of the policy. Standard requirements are as follows:

The licensee must obtain Comprehensive General Liability Insurance protecting the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation, and the Vancouver Police Board against liability for bodily injury, death or property damage, arising out of the activity. The minimum limits shall be $2,000,000 inclusive per occurrence, maximum deductible $500.00 per occurrence, with a cross liability clause. Acceptable proof of insurance must be received by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation prior to the use of any facilities covered under this permit.
NOTE: The foregoing satisfies the City's minimum insurance requirements. The City does not warrant that this insurance is adequate for the licensee's needs. By accepting this permit, the licensee acknowledges sole responsibility for obtaining whatever coverage the licensee deems necessary.
