Burrard Street Corridor Project

We are upgrading critical water, sewer, and transportation safety infrastructure on Burrard Street between Davie Street and 17th Avenue from February 2016 to late 2017.

What we're upgrading

The upgrade will:

  1. Improve safety at the Burrard-Pacific intersection, the second-highest collision location in Vancouver
  2. Improve connections to enable people to walk on both sides of the bridge
  3. Replace aging infrastructure like sewer and water utilities, and roads and sidewalks
  4. Combine routine maintenance to minimize the overall impact to communities

We will make every effort to reduce traffic impacts and minimize the construction period.

Three sections

The upgrade has three sections:

  1. Burrard Bridge and the Burrard-Pacific intersection
  2. Burrard Street, from Davie Street to Pacific Street
  3. Burrard Street, from Cornwall Avenue to 17th Avenue
