EMBERS (Eastside Movement for Business & Economic Renewal Society)
Join a community economic development charitable organization that works with people living on low incomes to develop productive futures and build stronger, sustainable communities. They use an enterprising approach to creating economic and employment opportunities and are looking for volunteers to help with their small business support team.
Growing Chefs!
Join a team of chef volunteers and grow vegetables, cook with kids, and get the kids excited about eating healthy food. During the first visit, plant windowsill gardens with the students, then return every 2 weeks for 3.5 months to help the kids care for the gardens, taste new food, and do lessons on urban agriculture and cooking. At the end of the program, the chefs help the kids prepare delicious meals with the vegetables they have grown.
Lower Mainland Green Team
Looking for a hands-on way to conserve the environment? Join this Lower Mainland group and help an environmental group, non-profit organization, charity or city tackle an environmental issue that needs co-operation and teamwork to get done. Learn more about their monthly activities.
Environmental Youth Alliance
This youth driven non-profit organization is dedicated to the health of the urban environment, the planet & the wellbeing of its people. Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition (VACC)

Eat Local
Vancouver Farmers Market is looking for bike valet attendants.
Attendants park bikes, give out valet tickets and watch over bikes while patrons shop. This involves a some lifting and standing for extended periods but you get to meet other food and cycling enthusiasts. Please email their Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Musqueam Ecosystem Conservation Society
On the last Saturday of the month from June to October, volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants and replace them with native species that help protect the ecology of the Musqueam Ecosystem.

Constantly receiving donated goods to be resold in the community, MCC is always looking for volunteers who want to make a difference!
