Gathering Place Community Centre
The Gathering Place Community Centre offers programs and services to the Downtown South community. We primarily serve vulnerable populations, including people on lower income, people with disabilities, seniors, people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, the LGBT community, youth, and people who are homeless.
We provide accessible and engaging programs with a focus on food and nutrition, education, recreation, arts and culture, and community development.
The Health Centre provides necessary services to the community, including laundry, showers, and health support services.
The Gathering Place Community Centre cafeteria serves three healthy meals a day at the lowest possible price. Find information on cafeteria hours and menu.

The Gathering Place offers recreation programs and facilities including a pool table, weight room, games room, education centre, fitness classes, and more.
An annual membership with the Downtown South Gathering Place Community Centre Association is $2.00.
Services and programs that are free with membership are: fitness programs, reading room access, and art and music programs.
The Downtown South Gathering Place Community Centre Association has been a longtime partner of the Gathering Place under an operating management agreement between the City of Vancouver and the Association.
The Association is a BC society and registered charity under the Canadian Revenue Agency, and it partners with the Centre to enable the community to benefit from initiatives like community dinners, block parties, and the Gathering Festival. The Association also provides its own programs, such as "free food days".
