Bright Nights extended until January 6
Limited additional train tickets available November 30 at 9 am
The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce expanded capacity for Bright Nights with additional carriages for the Stanley Park Train. In response to high demand, the event will be extended until January 6, 2024.
A successful Technical Safety BC inspection this week confirmed the use of one locomotive and five train carriages. An additional 17,000 tickets will be available exclusively online at vancouver.ca/brightnights beginning Wednesday, November 30 at 9 am.
The Bright Nights train is a highly sought-after attraction with limited tickets available, and guests are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance.
Ticketing Process
We appreciate the tremendous interest in the train and recognize the frustrations that some users encountered while previously trying to buy tickets. To help facilitate a fair and efficient process, our ticketing provider will be integrating a queue system before the event goes on sale.
Access to the waiting room will be available starting at 8:30 am on November 30 at vancouver.ca/brightnights.
When the sale begins at 9 am, individuals who are in the waiting room will be randomly assigned a place in the purchasing queue. Those who join after the sale has started will be placed at the back of the line on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to customers already in the queue.
Bright Nights
Bright Nights will now run from November 30, 2023 to January 6, 2024.
Bright Nights is a free event with admission by donation, and every contribution helps support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund survivor programs and services. Approximately 800 firefighters from all across British Columbia donate 6,400 hours of their time to help set up and take down almost 3,000,000 Christmas lights and displays at Bright Nights.
