Events, decisions, and reports at City Council for the week of April 11, 2022

April 14 2022 –

Vancouver City Council met electronically this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council and Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.

Tuesday, April 12

This week’s Council began with the approval on consent of the following reports:

Council then approved the following reports: 

Council also approved By-laws 1 to 10 (13 MB). They then approved the following Administrative and Council Members’ Motions:

The following motions were referred to the Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities on Wednesday, April 13:

Council then approved the new business item, Graffiti Abatement.

The motion, Rejecting the Increase to the 2021 Police Budget (22 KB), was withdrawn, and the motion, 2022 Civic Election Ballot Question to Measure Vancouver Elector Support for a 2030 Winter Olympic Bid (52 KB), did not pass as it did not receive a seconder.

On Tuesday evening, a Public Hearing was held where Council approved:

The Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities began with the approval on consent of the following:

The following motions were referred to the Standing Committee on City Finance and Services meeting on Wednesday, April 27:

A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting, approving the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.

Thursday, April 14

A Public Hearing will convene on Thursday, April 14 at 6pm, for Council to consider the following agenda items:

 The next regular meeting of Council is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26 at 9:30am.
