Fleurs de Villes returns to VanDusen Botanical Garden with WONDER, a Floral Celebration of the Natural World
Vancouver-based and world-renowned floral show, Fleurs de Villes, returns to VanDusen Botanical Garden with a stunning new show: Fleurs de Villes WONDER, running from May 22 to May 31, 2026.
Inspired by the natural wonders of the world, this year’s exhibition invites visitors on a global journey through a curated trail of more than 20 fresh-floral installations, each handcrafted by Vancouver’s talented floral artists. Set against the vibrant backdrop of VanDusen Botanical Garden in peak spring bloom, WONDER celebrates the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
Each installation interprets a different wonder of the natural world through intricate floral design, from iconic landscapes and rare ecosystems to botanical marvels and natural phenomena. Highlights include a giant floral octopus inspired by the Great Barrier Reef, a striking beehive installation presented by Amica Kerrisdale External website, opens in new tab, and other nature-inspired displays throughout the Garden. Visitors can also enjoy special activations, including a pop-up selfie-spot from Fairmont Hotel Vancouver External website, opens in new tab and a Cirque du Soleil External website, opens in new tab–inspired mannequin, drawing inspiration from their new show LUZIA.
Timed to coincide with Vancouver’s role as a host city for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™, WONDER embraces a theme of global connection, inviting visitors to explore cultures, climates, and ecosystems from around the world from the Garden.
In addition to the outdoor exhibition, visitors can enjoy a variety of special experiences throughout the 10-day event:
- A weekend fresh flower market featuring seasonal blooms and artisan goods
- Daily floral demonstrations and workshops in the Jardin marquee
- Food and beverage offerings, including floral-inspired menu items and a weekday Flowers Make Us Happy Hour from 3pm to 5pm at Shaughnessy Restaurant
- A curated selection of Fleurs de Villes merchandise at the Garden Gift Shop
- A Fan Favourite voting contest to win Mastercard VIP tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA show, “A Waking Dream of Mexico,” opening November 4, 2026, in Vancouver.
Fleurs de Villes WONDER takes place during one of the most spectacular times of year at VanDusen Botanical Garden, when rhododendrons, azaleas, laburnums, and other spring highlights are in full bloom, complementing the artistry of the floral displays.
“We’re delighted to welcome Fleurs de Villes back to the Garden for another springtime showcase,” said Garden Director Ema Tanaka. “The theme of natural wonders of the world aligns beautifully with our mission to connect people with plants and inspire the conservation of these extraordinary landscapes and ecosystems. It’s a unique opportunity for visitors to experience both botanical beauty and floral artistry in one place.”
“We’re delighted to be back at VanDusen Botanical Garden with a brand-new show. There’s something truly special about presenting Fleurs de Villes in our home city of Vancouver, and we know audiences will be captivated by the detail, artistry, and flowers of Fleurs de Villes WONDER,” said Karen Marshall, Co-founder of Fleurs de Villes.
