City welcomes Elisha McCallum as new Chief of External Relations
Today, the City of Vancouver is announcing that Elisha McCallum will take on the role of Chief of External Relations, effective July 6, 2026.
“I’m pleased to welcome Elisha to the City of Vancouver,” said Donny van Dyk, City Manager. “Her experience in the public and private sectors will help strengthen our external relations as we work together to advance Council’s priorities.”
McCallum will join the City’s leadership team and support the City’s strategic direction through external relations, partnerships and engagement. She will lead the Civic Engagement and Communications, the Business and Economy Office, Tourism and Destination Events, and Intergovernmental Relations and Strategic Partnerships teams.
“I am proud to call Vancouver home and believe it is one of the greatest cities to live and build a life in, which makes joining the City all the more meaningful,” said Elisha McCallum. “I’m committed to working for our residents and businesses by continuing to build a City that is responsive and effective and that delivers the high-quality services they can count on.”
A former print and television journalist and graduate of Langara College, McCallum brings nearly three decades of executive-level experience in British Columbia across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including roles in energy, infrastructure and resource development, technology, and real estate. She joins the City from Anthem Properties Group, where she was Vice President, Communications.
