City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council and Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.

Tuesday, April 14

This week’s meeting began with the approval of the following items on consent:

The following staff reports were referred to the Standing Committee on City Finance and Services meeting on Wednesday, April 16:

  • Mobile Pump-out Service Provision and Aquatic Environments Action Plan Progress Update
  • 2025 Local By-Election Results 

On Tuesday evening, a public hearing was held where Council heard the staff presentation and public speakers on Jericho Lands Official Development Plan (134 KB). Debate and decisions on this item, along with CD-1 Rezoning: 1551-1581 West 7th Avenue (121 KB), were referred to the Council meeting on Tuesday, April 22.

Wednesday, April 16

The Standing Committee on City Finance and Services began with the approval of the following reports on consent:

After that, the Standing Committee approved the following reports and Council members’ motions: 

Council members’ motion, Strengthening Tenant Relocation and Protection Policy in Vancouver (55 KB) was not approved. 

A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting during which Council approved the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.
