City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council, and Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.
Tuesday, April 9
This week’s Council meeting began with the presentation of the Eid al-Fitr proclamation by Deputy Mayor Fry. This was followed by Council's approval of the following reports and referral reports on consent:

The Standing Committee then approved the following reports and member’s motion:

The member’s motion Creating a Regulatory Framework for Retail Sales of Psilocybin and Entheogens in Vancouver PDF file (97 KB) - was not approved.
A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting in which Council approved the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.
Council also approved an urgent business item entitled, Motion to Seek Table Officer Position with Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) for the Upcoming Years - (see editor’s note)
