Roundup of Business at City Council for the week of May 29, 2023 & Updates to the Procedure By-law
City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council, and Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.
Vancouver City Council has recently updated the Procedure By-law to streamline Council proceedings. Public hearings scheduled on Thursdays will start at 1 pm, instead of 6 pm. Members motions will be placed on Standing Committee agendas on Wednesdays. Registered speakers will have three minutes to address Council. Should a registered speaker require additional time to accommodate accessibility needs, the Chair has discretion to allow more time.
