Vancouver City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council, and Standing Committee on City Finance and Services.
Tuesday, May 9
This week’s Council began with the approval of the following reports and referral reports on consent:
- 2023 Graffiti Abatement Grants to Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) PDF file (169 KB)
- Uplifting Chinatown Action Plan – Strategic Priority Grants PDF file (183 KB)
- Broadway Plan Implementation – Amendments to Zoning and Development By-law and Guidelines PDF file (4 MB)

After that, Council approved Amendments to the Procedure By-law No. 12577 PDF file (306 KB) with amendments.
After asking questions of staff and hearing from speakers, Council decided to defer Prioritization Framework for Planning Policy and Processing Applications PDF file (577 KB) to the Council meeting on May 30, 2023, for debate and decision.
Council then approved By-laws 1-3 PDF file (224 KB), and the following Member’s Motions:
