City Council met this week to hear and discuss a variety of topics during Council, and Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.
Tuesday, November 26
This week’s Council began with the Council presenting the proclamation for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities then approving the following items on consent:

Council referred staff report, Allowing Gas Heating and Hot Water in New Construction PDF file (498 KB), to the Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities meeting on Wednesday.
Council also approved By-laws 1-17 PDF file (11 MB), and administrative motion, Consequential Amendments to Various City Policies and Guidelines as a Result of the Zoning and Development By-law Amendments PDF file (57 KB).
On Tuesday evening, a public hearing was held where Council approved the following:

Wednesday, November 27
The Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities began with the approval of the following items on consent:

Member’s motion, Ensuring Councillors Motions Maintain Public Confidence in the Good Rule of the City PDF file (35 KB), did not pass.
A Council meeting was convened immediately following the Standing Committee meeting during which Council approved the recommendations and actions of the preceding Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities.
