VanDusen Botanical Garden celebrates the best of fall with Harvest Days

September 16 2026 –

VanDusen Botanical Garden’s annual Harvest Days returns this autumn, bringing seasonal activities, live music and spectacular autumn colour to the Garden on weekends from September 26 to October 18, plus Thanksgiving Monday, October 12.

Set against the Garden’s vibrant fall colours, Harvest Days offers an affordable, family-friendly way to celebrate the season, with all event activities included with regular Garden admission or membership.

The Learning Garden and hedge maze area will once again be at the heart of the festivities, brought to life with fall décor and activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy live bluegrass and family folk music, face painting, crafts, lawn games, food trucks, and the beloved hedge maze decorated for fall.

At the centre of the event space, the Learning Garden offers plenty to discover. Visitors can explore raised planters and beds filled with seasonal vegetables and edible plants, wander through the Apple Orchard and Sensory Garden, and see first-hand what’s being harvested from the Vegetable Garden.

New this year, the Discovery Tent will feature a rotating lineup of local experts, organizations, and community groups offering interactive, nature-based activities and demonstrations. Programming will vary throughout Harvest Days and include activities such as honey tasting, fall gardening tips, and more.

The Sculpture Stroll will also return, featuring nature-inspired creations by local artist Nickie Lewis. The artworks are made entirely from natural, organic, and biodegradable materials.

Beyond the festivities, all 55 acres of VanDusen Botanical Garden offer even more to explore during one of the Garden’s most colourful times of year. Seasonal highlights include sugar maples, ginkgo trees, bald cypress and the breathtaking Autumn Stroll.
