Park Board extends season at Kitsilano Pool by an extra week
With continued warm, summery weather in the forecast, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation will be keeping Kitsilano Pool open longer this season. The last day of scheduled swimming is now September 7.
Kitsilano Pool has welcomed thousands of residents and visitors this summer and the Park Board is pleased to be able to make the necessary operational and staffing adjustments to allow the pool to remain open past Labour Day.
Kitsilano Pool hours for the additional week of operation (September 2 - 7) are:
- 7am to 10:30am
- 11am to 2:30pm
- 3pm to 7pm
Vancouver's other outdoor pools, Second Beach, New Brighton and Maple Grove will close as planned on September 2.
September and October is an important window of time to allow staff to carry out the necessary maintenance and decommissioning of our outdoor pools ahead of the wet cold months of fall and winter.
