Kitsilano Pool

Kitsilano Pool is Vancouver's only saltwater swimming pool. The outdoor summer pool is located near the beach, cafés, and neighbourhood of Kitsilano.

COVID-19 restart: outdoor pools

Kitsilano, New Brighton, Second Beach, and Maple Grove pools are now open.

Season passes and multi-pack tickets in blocks of 10 and 20 are still available for outdoor pools and can be purchased directly from TicketLeader .

Registration opens three days in advance at noon. Advance online registration is highly recommended to secure a spot.

If you're feeling sick, particularly if you're experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home.

Limited drop-in available

July 9, 2021: Effective July 12, Kitsilano, New Brighton, and Second Beach pools have increased capacities. 

Drop-in sessions at all outdoor pools will be available in-person, on a first come, first-served basis.

For drop-in visits, cash, credit, debit, Flexipass, and Leisure Access passes are now accepted. Pass holders must scan their OneCard for admission. 

Advance online registration is highly recommended to secure a spot.

Length swim sessions are 45 minutes and public swim sessions are 90 minutes long.

Tickets, season passes, and multi-pack tickets in blocks of 10 and 20 are now available for outdoor pools and can be purchased directly from TicketLeader 

Tickets are only valid for the 2021 outdoor pool season. Outdoor pool tickets cannot be used for indoor pools. Tickets purchased for Kitsilano, Second Beach, and New Brighton are not valid at Maple Grove Pool and vice versa.

Park Board Flexipasses and 10-visit passes cannot be integrated with the TicketLeader reservation system and are not accepted for online registration. If you have a Flexipass but only swim outdoors, learn more on how you can put your pass on hold.

Leisure Access participants require an access code to book swim times at an outdoor pool. Email to receive your code. Please provide your OneCard number to verify enrollment in Leisure Access.

Individuals who are not Leisure Access Pass holders do not require a code for the outdoor pool registration system.

If you have registered for a swim and are unable to attend, you must cancel in advance to receive a credit to your TicketLeader account for a future session. No refunds will be available.

Cancellation requests must be submitted through your TicketLeader account  by 11:59pm the day before your session. Requests by phone directly to TicketLeader (604-252-3700), must be done by 6pm the day before your session.

Requirements for children at the pool

Children seven years old and under must be with a responsible guardian (16+ years old) while in the water. The guardian must wear a bathing suit and be within arms' reach of the children.

One guardian can supervise up to five children.
