Skateboard parks

Vancouver skateboard parks are located around the city and bring bowls, ramps, hipboxes and street-style layouts for all levels.

Skateboard parks are open to everyone, plus you can reserve a skatepark for a regular practice, special event, or tournament.

What's happeningJoin the Skateboard Host Program this summer

Get free supervision, informal lessons, and a welcoming environment at select skateparks across the city. Hosts will be available to support all riders.

We’ll provide skateboards, protective gear, drinks, and snacks.

Drop-in sessions and fees
- All sessions will have 25 pre-registered spaces, with 5 spaces reserved for drop-ins
- Registration for each session will begin 3 days before at noon. (Example: registration for sessions on July 6 will begin on July 3 at noon)
- Search for “Indoor Skateboarding” and register for sessions online

Safety
- Helmets are required for individuals 16 and younger, and are strongly recommended for individuals 17 and older.
- A waiver must be completed prior to an individual’s first session. Skaters under 19 require a parent or guardian sign for them. Once signed, waivers will be effective for all sessions.

Lessons

We've teamed up with Spectrum Skateboard Society to provide skateboard lessons for Neuro-divergent children and youth.

As the name suggests, Spectrum specializes in programming for children on the autism spectrum, but will be welcoming children of all abilities to their programs at Hillcrest. No proof of diagnosis required.

To reserve a skateboard park, complete an outdoor facilities reservation form. If applicable, you will need to include proof of insurance and payment to receive a permit.
