The point data was extracted from the Parks and Recreation web site in July 2009; the polygon data was provided by Community Services in March 2010.

Parks locations are shown in two layers.
The Parks layer is included in the Public Places layer group and shows a flag to indicate the approximate location of a park. If the mouse hovers over the flag, the park name is displayed. This layer defaults to being off but can be turned on as required.
The Park Polygons layer is located near the bottom of the legend. It defaults to on and shows the area included in the park in green. It helps to provide context as well as identifying locations.
