View a small representation of the map and your relative position in the mapview.
The SkyView button, located in the toolbox, opens SkyView. SkyView contains a map of the entire city and will outline in red the relative position shown in the mapview. When you zoom in or out you will see the position change. To turn on SkyView, select the SkyView button and a small VanMap window will open in the upper left hand corner of the screen. To turn SkyView off, click the close button in the top right corner of the SkyView window.
SkyView will always open in the bottom left corner of your screen. You can move
the window to another location by dragging the title bar of the window (the
blue bar that says SkyView for VanMap) to a different location. Also, when
SkyView is opened it appears as a Windows taskbar button. You can minimize
and maximize the SkyView window by clicking on the taskbar button.
Every time you zoom in or out SkyView disappears and reappears when the scale is reestablished.
You can zoom to a different location in the City from the SkyView screen. Move your mouse in the SkyView map area and a small box will appears below the cursor. Now, you can click anywhere in the window and use your mouse to draw a new location. The map view and the SkyView windows will redisplay the new location. If you do not see the outline of the box beneath the cursor, try dragging the mouse more slowly in the SkyView window.
