Killarney Rink

Killarney Rink – located north of Killarney Secondary School near Rupert St and East 49th Ave – is part of the Killarney Community Centre.

The ice rink is open from September to March and brings public skating programs and skate lessons to all ages and abilities. You can rent skates during public skate and lesson times.

From April to August, we remove the ice for dry-floor activities such as ball hockey, in-line hockey, trade shows, and special events.

Rink rentals

You can reserve ice or dry floor at rinks for private use, including skating parties, hockey, ringette, trade shows, ball hockey, parties, and more. Find out how you can rent a rink, as well as the cost and availability. Britannia, Hillcrest, and Sunset have ice year-round.

  • Ice sledge available at no cost
  • Wheelchairs are welcome during public skating sessions. Participants must wear helmets. The person pushing the wheelchair must wear skates.

Passes accepted:

  • Leisure Access Card (LAC)
  • Flexipass

Helmet policy for skating activities

Anyone participating in skating classes, lessons, and programs must wear a CSA-certified hockey or snowboard helmet. You are also encouraged to wear a helmet at public skate times. Rinks have a limited number of helmets free-of-charge to registered program participants. Cycling helmets are not permitted.

Killarney Community Centre includes a dance studio, fitness centre, ice rink, tennis courts, gym, indoor pool, games room, computer lab, playground, youth centre, and snack bar. The centre is located at 6260 Killarney St, Vancouver, BC. 604-718-8200.
