What you need to know

Not all agenda items allow speakers. Check the agenda to find out which items you can sign up to speak about. 

  • You can submit written comments about any agenda item, even if it doesn't allow speakers. Submit written comments
  • You may speak by phone or in person. 
  • You may not speak at a closed (in-camera) Council meeting. 
  • Agendas are typically posted 1 week before each Council meeting and 10 days before each public hearing.

Some agenda items may remain on the agenda over multiple meeting days or be referred from 1 meeting type to another.

July 14, 2026 Public Hearing 

You can speak about: 

  • Villages Planning Program – Villages Plan, City-initiated Rezoning and Vancouver Official Development Plan Amendments

The deadline to request to speak for the above items is Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 5 pm for online requests and register from 5:30 pm to 6 pm by calling 604-829-4238. You can also register in person on the day of the hearing, between 5:30 pm and 6 pm at City Hall.
