Challenger Baseball External website provides children with physical and cognitive disabilities an opportunity to play baseball.

The baseball diamond features:

  • All-weather synthetic turf infield
  • Wheelchair-accessible surfaces
  • Shorter distances between bases
  • Flat bases and pitching mounds as graphic elements, not raised
  • Large dugouts and scorer's shelter for wheelchairs and other mobility devices

Challenger Baseball teams have priority use of this field, although regular Little League play is available with a second set of bases.

The diamond was opened in April 2017 and funded by Variety - The Children's Charity External website, Jays Care Foundation External website, Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation External website, the Vancouver Park Board, and the City of Vancouver.
