The City of Vancouver and Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation have launched a new sponsorship program designed to build partnerships that benefit Vancouver and its residents.

How to collaborate
Our partnership program offers select corporate and community partners the opportunity to collaborate with us. As official partners of the City and Park Board, you can engage in:
- Sponsorship
- Naming rights
- Brand activation
- Marketing activities

Submit an expression of interest
Approval process

Companies and organizations interested in partnering with us are required to submit a formal expression of interest .

Suitable applicants will be evaluated based on factors including the:
- Financial value they represent
- Alignment with City and Park Board values including sustainability, Reconciliation, diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights
- Positive impact on residents and visitors
- Connection to Vancouver, BC, and Canada
Approval processes will be conducted as outlined in the Sponsorship and Sponsorship Naming Rights Policy (169 KB).
Partnership opportunities
Sponsorship and naming rights opportunities

We are open to sponsorship and naming rights of:
- City assets
- Events
- Programs
- Services
- Facilities
Exceptions to partnership opportunities

These civic spaces are not included in the partnership program:
- Naming of parks and streets (City parks and streets are excluded from naming rights)
- Vancouver Public Library branches
- City Hall
- Senior government funding programs
- Neighbourhood groups, service clubs, non-profit community organizations, or agencies that provide continuous support and leadership to City programs, services, or facilities
- Assets managed by the Vancouver Police Department
Background
Following the January 2024 Mayor’s Budget Task Force Report (8.9 MB), Council directed staff to find ways to generate new, non-tax funding sources to support and enhance city services and infrastructure.

In 2025, the City and Park Board launched a corporate partnership program to maximize revenue from both sponsorships and naming rights while maintaining appropriate governance, ethical standards, and transparency.

The program is based on policies approved by the City and Park Board in November 2024 and January 2025.

- Review the Vancouver Park Board’s 2025 Sponsorship Policy (264 KB)
The program is also in line with the Vancouver Park Board’s 2023 ‘Think Big’ Revenue Strategy (236 KB).

Key objectives

The objectives of the new sponsorship program are to:
- Generate new, non-tax revenue to support City and Park Board programs, services, and priorities
- Enhance experiences within civic spaces, places, and programs
- Activate and animate the city with engaging events and activities
- Strengthen Vancouver’s global reputation as a leading city for business, culture, and livability
