Temporary road closures in Cambie Corridor over upcoming long weekend
On Saturday, October 12, Cambie Street will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions from West 41st Avenue to West 45th Avenue to support crane activity at the Oakridge Park development site at 650 West 41st Avenue. The closure will take place from approximately 7 am to 3 pm.
This complex and time-sensitive work will be delivered and coordinated by EllisDon, the prime contractor for Westbank’s Oakridge Park development site. The City of Vancouver has issued a permit for this work on City property, which requires all contractors to perform the work in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
Work is expected to be completed on Saturday, but there is potential for the work and accompanying closures to extend into Sunday, depending on weather.
As a reminder, in addition to construction and development work happening around the city, lane reductions are also in place at nearby Oak Street from West 64th Avenue to West 70th Avenue as part of the City’s Oak Street Sewer Separation Upgrades project. No active work is scheduled at this site over the long weekend, and two lanes will remain open in each direction throughout.
