Kids and students can experience voting

We're encouraging kids and students to try voting through our special Kids Vote program or the Student Vote program.

Kids Vote

On Saturday, October 1 and Saturday, October 8, kids aged 12 and under can go to an advance voting place with their guardian, and try out voting.

Results from Kids Votes will be released on Saturday, October 15 before the unofficial results from the election.

Student Vote

We're collaborating with CIVIX to offer the Student Vote program for the October municipal election. Participating schools receive free learning resources and election supplies. After learning about the election, students cast ballots for the official candidates.

This program is a great way to spark conversation about community issues and develop the habits of active and informed citizenship among students.

Student Vote is targeted at grades 4 to 12.
