Pay your property tax through your mortgage

You can pay your property tax through your mortgage payments. This is an easy way to be sure that you pay your property tax on time.

Be sure to check who is responsible for sending your payment: you, or your lender.

You cannot pay your Empty Homes Tax (Vacancy Tax) through your mortgage.

Remember to claim your home owner grant

You must claim your home owner grant each year, even if you are paying through your mortgage or deferring your payment.

Some banks do not forward the remittance stub that contains your home owner grant application to us. If this is the case, claim your home owner grant.
