Homelessness Action Week Grants

Does your non-profit organization have innovative ideas to build the capacity of individuals and communities to raise awareness about and respond to issues of homelessness in Vancouver?

If so, you may be eligible for a Homelessness Action Week (HAW) Grant.

A limited number of grants are given every year, so see the guidelines below for more information.

Basic eligibility criteria

You can apply for this grant if your organization:

  • Is a registered non-profit society based in the City of Vancouver
  • Has a proven track record for delivering projects or services, or hosting events
  • Designs projects to directly benefit people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness within local neighbourhoods

HAW occurs annually in mid-October. For the current year's HAW dates, please see the eligibility criteria and application guidelines. Events or projects may occur during the week of HAW or within one year of City Council’s approval of the grant.
