Our current selection process is still ongoing
We have a pool of existing candidates who applied in the fall of 2021. Those candidates who have not yet interviewed with us are still active in our process and should not submit another application.
Vancouver Fire Rescue Services employs over 800 people who respond to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency incidents, including fires, motor vehicle accidents, and other medical situations.

Update: Due to unprecedented hiring demands, we are inviting those who already hold their BC Class 3 or Class 1 driving license with Air Brake endorsement, BC Medical License, and NFPA 1001 I & II certifications to apply.
These new applications will be considered alongside existing ones for our October and November recruit class.
