Leadership Essentials in Action Program for Unionized Supervisors

The pilot LEAP-U cohort has seats for up to 25 CUPE 1004 (Parks and non-Parks) supervisors whose home position reports directly to a non-union (exempt) manager. 

To register, you will need to:

• Be interested in growing your leadership skills
• Have approval from your manager
• Show strong performance in your current role
• Lead others effectively
• Be ready to fully participate in all LEAP-U workshops and activities

In addition, you will need to:

• Supervise a crew or team
• Work mostly in the field, not at a desk
• Have your manager’s support for the time commitment required
• Have development goals that line-up with the focus of the LEAP-U program

Format: In-person, hands-on classroom workshops led by Citizencentric, an external leadership development partner, with some sessions taught by City staff.

Selected participants will be contacted by mid-March 2025.

Registrants are advised to consider vacation and work scheduling arrangements with their supervisor in anticipation of participating in the program.
