Non-resident property electors

To vote as a Non-Resident Property Elector in Vancouver, you must:

• Not be entitled to register as a resident elector in the city of Vancouver
• Not have registered as a non-resident property elector in relation to any other parcel of property in the city of Vancouver
• Be a Canadian citizen
• Be 18 years old or older, or you will be turning 18 on or before general voting day (April 5, 2025)
• Be a registered owner of property in Vancouver for at least 30 days immediately before the day of registration
• Have been a resident in BC for at least 6 months immediately before the day of registration
• Be one of the registered owners of the real property as either a joint tenant or tenant in common, and not holding the property in trust for a corporation or another trust.
• Have received the written consent of the majority of registered owners for the property, authorizing you to be registered as the non-resident property elector for this property (If applicable)
• Not be disqualified by any enactment from voting in an election or are otherwise disqualified by law

Vote by mail

You can apply for a vote by mail package at the Election Office (305 W 8th Ave) or by emailing the completed forms above to votebymail@vancouver.ca between March 3 and April 1.
