We recommend you drop off or have someone else drop off your completed mail ballot package, or have it sent by courier to the Election Office (450 W Broadway) or City Hall (453 W 12th Ave) before 8pm October 20.

You can apply to vote by mail only if you:

  • Have a physical disability, illness, or injury that affects your ability to vote in person on all voting days
  • Expect to be absent from Vancouver on all voting days

 You must apply to vote by mail before picking up a ballot. 

Instructions

  • Send your completed form by 12pm on October 19.
  • If you apply before noon (weekdays only), your ballot will be available for pickup the next business day between 8:30am and 5pm.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your completed ballot is received by the City no later than 8pm October 20, 2018. If you will be outside of Canada between October 2 and 20:
    • We recommend you designate someone to pick up your mail ballot package on your behalf. Include this person's name in your application form.
    • Have your designated person express post your ballot to your out-of-country location.
