Filming

Filming guidelines allow filming activity to take place in Vancouver.

All filming related activity, including move-ins, wrap-ups, and move-outs, must occur between the hours noted below. Permission to work outside of the hours may be granted only after polling neighbourhood residents and businesses.

Allowed hours for filming

Day Hours
Monday to Thursday 7am - 11pm
Friday 7am - midnight
Saturday 8am - midnight
Sunday 8am - 11pm
Holiday (day of) 8am - 11pm

Note We may limit these filming hours even more in some neighbourhoods.

When you can make construction-related noise

Day On private property On city streets, lanes, and boulevards
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 8pm 7am - 8pm
Saturday 10am - 8pm 7am - 8pm
Sunday No construction-related noise permitted 10am - 8pm
Holiday (day of) No construction-related noise permitted 10am - 8pm

 Outside of these hours, construction noise is only allowed with a noise bylaw exception permit.
