Information released through requests for the current year

How we process FOI requests

In compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of British Columbia, information in the records that falls under an exception or exemption in the Act, such as personal and confidential information, is severed from the record or ‘blacked out’.

Severed information in a document displays as a gray box. The section(s) of the Act applied to the severed information is in red text in the upper left corner of the grey box.

About the 2016 FOI releases

As of January 1, 2016, we publicly posts all FOI releases with the exception of requests for records and responses that contain personal and confidential information.  The FOI Releases Table is updated monthly.

The original “Request for Records” is contained in the response letter.  Records are provided with or without severing depending on whether one or more of the exceptions or exemptions in the Act have been applied to information in the records.
