  The Strategic Priorities Team

  The Strategic Priorities Team helps to deliver cross-departmental projects, such as advancing approaches to decolonization, equity, and accessibility, and implementing the Vancouver Music Strategy.

  They work on expanding staff's capacity through training, consulting with he xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations, and using best practices for communication and data.

  The Grants and Awards Team

  The Grants and Awards Team supports diverse creative people and organizations through grants and award programs.

  They focus on reducing barriers for equity-denied communities and promoting practices that support accessibility, equity, anti-racism, reconciliation, and decolonization.

  The Public Art Team

  The Public Art Team works with artists to create public art projects that reflect on the complexities of place, publics, and culture.

  They also collaborate with the Public Art Committee to guide art policy and plans for public and private sites, as well as temporary and permanent artworks.

  The Cultural Spaces and Infrastructure Team

  The Cultural Spaces and Infrastructure Team helps to secure, enhance, and develop affordable and accessible cultural spaces.

  They work with communities, plan and regulate spaces, and support organizations with infrastructure and grants.

  The Chinatown Transformation Team (CTT)

  The Chinatown Transformation Team (CTT) was created to pursue a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation for Vancouver Chinatown, develop cultural infrastructure, and advance social and cultural policy in the community.

  In 2021, CTT's social and cultural policy leadership joined Cultural Services, starting the second phase of their work with a focus on cultural redress, cultural heritage, intersectionality, and equity.
