You can drop off garbage and recyclable items at 2 locations: the Vancouver South Transfer Station and the Vancouver Landfill.

Important: Each location has their own rules about materials.

Driving directions to Vancouver Landfill

The only access to the landfill is southbound on Highway 99. Once you are on Highway 99 South, do the following:

  1. Take Exit 26 for Highway 17 (South Fraser Perimeter Road).
  2. Keep left for Highway 17 East (Hope).
  3. Keep right and take Exit 13A for the Landfill.
  4. Turn left on 72nd Street.

     On Highway 99 North – before the Highway 17 overpass – take Exit 26 and keep left. Proceed to Exit 28 for Ladner to Highway 17A. Loop back onto Highway 99 South and follow the directions above. If you miss Exit 28, take the first exit after the Massey Tunnel and turn around.
