Vancouver Landfill and South Vancouver Transfer Station

The City of Vancouver has two locations where you can drop off garbage and recyclable items:

  • Vancouver Landfill
  • Vancouver South Transfer Station

Important: Each location has their own rules about what can be dropped off. If you do not know where to dispose of something:

Vancouver Landfill


5400 72nd Street, Delta


The only access to the Landfill is southbound on Highway 99

Once you are on Highway 99 South:

  1. Take Exit 26 for Highway 17 (South Fraser Perimeter Road).
  2. Keep left for Highway 17 East (Hope).
  3. Keep right and take Exit 13A for the Landfill.
  4. Turn left on 72nd Street.

South Vancouver Transfer Station


377 West Kent Avenue North, Vancouver

 Caution: You may only enter the Transfer Station and Recycling Depot from the east. There are no left turns allowed for vehicles coming from the west.
