History of Malkin Bowl

Malkin Bowl is a historic performance space in Stanley Park.

Originally built in 1934, the band shell was dedicated to the late wife of former Vancouver Mayor W.H. Malkin.

The venue has been home to Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) musical theatre company for over 60 years.

Malkin Bowl burnt down in 1982 but was quickly rebuilt.

Major renovations took place in 2011, adding a stage door, insulation, and a heating system - improving the popular venue for seasonal outdoor performances and year round rehearsal space.
