Each position is elected at large, meaning each position represents the city.
Positions are held for a 4-year term.
Nomination period
Candidates can submit their nomination packages starting September 1 at 9am until September 11 at 4pm.
Candidates can withdraw their candidacy until 4pm on September 18.

Elector organizations
Elector organizations, also called, political parties, promote election candidates.
Elector organizations must register with Elections BC before the Election Office can accept the use of the party name on the ballot during the nomination period.

Capital Plan borrowing questions and plebiscite questions
Voters will vote on 3 questions asking whether the City should borrow funds for some of the major projects outlined in the 2027-2030 Capital Plan.
Voters will also vote on 2 plebiscite questions on a second ballot.
