  Regular Park Board meetings

  Meeting frequency

  Regular Board meetings are generally held bi-weekly on Monday evenings following Committee meetings.  The Board meeting schedule is approved annually.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

  Speaking at a Regular Board meeting

  Speakers are not heard at Regular Board meetings, but comments can be submitted via email or in writing for the Board's consideration.  Should the Board wish to hear from speakers on a topic, the item will be referred to a Committee meeting.

  Park Board Committee meetings

  Meeting frequency

  Park Board Committee meetings are generally held bi-weekly on Monday evenings at 6:30pm, in accordance with a meeting schedule that is approved annually.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

  Speaking at a Park Board Committee meeting

  If you want to speak to the Committee about an agenda item, you must submit a request to speak by 12 noon on the day of the scheduled meeting. Speakers are given a five-minute time limit, unless otherwise decided by the Committee.

  In-camera meetings of the Park Board

  In-camera meetings are meetings that are closed the public because of the sensitive nature of information under discussion.

  The Park Board is authorized to hold in-camera meetings only under the circumstances set out in section 165.2 of the Vancouver Charter.

  Meeting frequency

  In-camera meetings are often held immediately prior to regularly scheduled Committee meetings. They are closed to the public.

  Special Park Board meetings

  Special Park Board meetings are held to deal with emerging issues or topics that expect to generate significant public interest. Meetings are held in the boardroom of the Park Board Administration office unless otherwise noted.

  Meeting frequency

  Meetings are held as the need arises and everyone is welcome to attend.

  If you want to speak to the Park Board about an agenda item, you must submit a request to speak by 12noon on the day of the scheduled meeting.
