Commissioner salaries and expenses

Salaries

Remuneration for the Park Board Chair and Commissioners for discharge of their duties of office is paid in accordance with the Park Board Remuneration By-Law No.11484. 

Salaries are taxable and reviewed annually in accordance with the bylaw.  The 2022 rates are as follows:

  • Commissioner: $18,743.38 per year
  • Board Chair: $23,428.65 per year

Expenses

In accordance with the provisions outlined in the Park Board Commissioners Expenses By-Law No. 7336, Commissioners may seek reimbursement for expenses incurred while:

  • Representing the Park Board
  • Engaging in Park Board business
  • Attending a course, meeting, or convention
