  Receive your ballot by mail

  All mail ballots have been sent out to those that applied to vote by mail.

  We mail vote-by-mail packages worldwide using Canada Post's regular mail service. If you'll be outside of Canada, we recommend having the package sent to someone local who can then forward it to you by courier.

  Pick up your ballot

  Mail ballots can only be picked up from the Election Office starting March 18 at 8:30am until April 4 at noon.

  Unable to pick up the ballot yourself?

  When you apply to vote by mail, there is an option to designate someone to pick up your package on your behalf. Ensure their first and last names are entered correctly as photo ID is required.

Returning your vote-by-mail package

Information icon Ballots received after the deadline will not be counted and postmarks will not be considered.

  Mail us your ballot

  All vote-by-mail packages include a pre-paid return postage envelope for within Canada.

  If you are mailing back your ballot from outside of Canada, you are responsible for including extra postage.

  Review Canada Post mail and parcel delivery standards External website, opens in new tab to help you plan the return of your ballot. Postmarks will not be considered.

  Drop off your ballot

  Only drop off completed mail ballots at one of the designated locations.

  Drop off your ballot before 5pm on Saturday, April 5, at a designated community centre:

  • Kerrisdale Community Centre
  • Killarney Community Centre
  • Kitsilano War Memorial Community Centre
  • Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre
  • Trout Lake Community Centre

  Drop off your ballot before 8pm on Saturday, April 5, at either:

  • City Hall
  • Election Office (305 West 8th Ave)
