The Mayor's Arts Awards
The artists in our community play an important role in making Vancouver one of the most livable cities in the world. Their talents, efforts and accomplishments in a wide array of disciplines define the city's dynamic creative sector. It is the vision of these awards to provide an opportunity to celebrate their contributions.
Join us on October 6, 2011, at the Caprice Nightclub, for a celebration of the 2011 recipients of the Mayor's Arts Awards.
Mayor Robertson will pay tribute to valued members of the City's cultural community. Honourees and Emerging Artists in three categories will be feted in addition to those whose support of the arts is integral, and those whose work has been recognized through other civic cultural awards. Veteran broadcaster and author Bill Richardson
will host.
Admission to the event is FREE, but you must RSVP to attend.

2010 CELEBRATION OF VANCOUVER'S ARTS & CULTURE COMMUNITY
On Wednesday, November 24th Mayor Gregor Robertson opened the 2010 Awards ceremony at Club 560. Hosting the evening for the second year in a row was the ever charming Bill Richardson. On June 23, 2008, the inaugural event, brought together over 400 people at the Vancouver Playhouse.
