The Social Planning Department, on behalf of the City of Vancouver, undertakes a wide array of childcare and child development related activities. In addition to facilitating the design and development of new childcare facilities, we oversee a major grants program for childcare operators, collaborate on major research initiatives and help to set municipal policy as it pertains to children and families.
