Work and training dates

Between September 19 and October 11, 2026: Training (mandatory)  

Between October 3 and 13, 2026, 7am to 9pm: Work advance voting days (optional)  

October 17, 2026, 7am to 9pm: Be available to work election day (mandatory)

Shifts may be extended or shortened based on operational needs.

We're hiring more than 2,200 elections workers for 3 roles to support the 2026 Vancouver Election:

You can apply to be an election worker if you:  

  • Are 16 years old or older
  • Are legally entitled to work in BC
  • Can act, and be seen by others, as a non-partisan representative of the City of Vancouver
  • Meet the qualifications listed in the job description
