Ashtrey Alley is the commemorative name for the laneway between the 100 block of West Pender Street and West Hastings Street in Vancouver.
Note Our legal graffiti wall is a designated area within Ashtrey Alley where graffiti is permitted.
Ashtrey Alley includes:

Ashtrey Alley honours the life and legacy of Trey Helten
Trey Helten, known as Ashtrey, was an artist and advocate whose work connected graffiti, street art, harm reduction, and neighbourhood care.
Trey was deeply connected to the Downtown Eastside and was known for going above and beyond to support friends, neighbours, artists, and people who use drugs. He advocated for harm reduction and overdose prevention, helped connect people to care, and is remembered for the generosity and compassion he brought to his community.
