How has the cemetery changed over the years?

The historic photographs are by Philip Timms taken in 1910 and the 2003 photos are by the General Manager of the cemetery. All photos come from the Vancouver Public Library's Historic Photo collection. For more information see the Special Collections web site.

Did You Know?

Only one Cemetery in the immediate vicinity of Vancouver is older than Mountain View. Fraser Cemetery in New Westminster opened in the early 19th century. It was followed by Mountain View in 1887, then Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby in 1918 and by Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby 1936.
