More than 25 years have passed since casket grave space was available from Mountain View Cemetery. A process within provincial legislation has enabled the cemetery to acquire a limited number of casket graves for resale. These graves are vacant and available for immediate use. This is a unique and limited opportunity to secure a place in Vancouver’s only cemetery

These graves will be sold in a sealed bid process that will commence on June 7, 2011 and close on July 12, 2011. All the graves are vacant, have never been used for interment and have been reclaimed by the cemetery with permission from the provincial regulatory authority. Official bid documents will be available on the internet from BC Bid (www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca) and on the City of Vancouver’s purchasing website (vancouver.ca/fs/bid/bidopp/openbid.htm) on June 7, 2011. Documents may be picked up the cemetery office.

Cemetery staff can answer some general questions about the sites and the process but all technical details regarding the bidding process, submissions, timing, etc. can be found within the formal bid documents. Staff cannot provide any interpretation or alteration of the express terms of the bid documents. Please read the documentation carefully.
