Two major rezoning applications have been proposed on key sites at the intersection of Marine Drive and Cambie Street. City staff required the applicants to commission a transportation study to examine the transportation impacts resulting from all anticipated and existing development in the area (i.e., the proposed mixed-employment area and the large format retail area) including the rezoning applications. - Marine Landing Retail Impact Study

Coriolis Consulting undertook a retail and service impact study that analyzed the demand for and impact of proposed retail services included in the rezoning application for 8430 Cambie Street. Terms of Reference
South Vancouver Industrial Lands
In July 2009, Council confirmed the retention of the existing industrial zoning in the South Vancouver Industrial Area, except for limited and strategically located lands immediately around the Canada Line Marine Drive Station. Protection of industrial lands is also highlighted as a key strategy in Metro Vancouver’s Regional Growth Strategy (2010). For more information, please review the links below.
