Mount Pleasant Community Planning Program - Residential AreasSign up for Residential Area Workshop (RAW)The Community Plan will address four residential sub-areas ( see Map ). North Mount Pleasant and Central Mount Pleasant are apartment zones; and South Mount Pleasant and West Mount Pleasant are duplex/infill zones. Residential Area Workshops (RAW)Seven different workshops explored issues and opportunities in the residential areas. The workshops were held between November 2008 and December 2009 at the Native Education College, 285 E. 5th Avenue. Workshop topics included parks and open space, safety and services, heritage and character, housing, culture, and transportation. The workshops were organized and hosted by City staff. At each workshop participants received background information and then they work together in small groups to develop ideas and options, review previous workshop comments, and suggest possible policy changes and/or additions to the suggested goals, ideas and actions.
